Drixine® No Drip Formula is a breakthrough in
nasal spray technology and designed to stay
where it sprays to help prevent the product
dripping down the throat.
Nasal obstruction or congestion is one of the most frequent, and often the most
bothersome, symptom in upper respiratory tract disorders,1 like the common
cold, allergies and sinusitis. Intranasal decongestants, like oxymetazoline, have
been used for many years for fast, effective relief of nasal congestion and
obstruction associated with the common cold,2 sinusitis3 and allergies.4 However,
some patients may dislike the sensation and taste of the product dripping. In fact,
research shows that 1 in 4 nasal spray users look for a product that doesn't drip
down the back of their throat.5
The technology behind the Drixine No Drip Formula
Drixine has been reformulated with the addition of excipients which increase the
viscosity of the liquid formulation, resulting in a thixotropic* formulation. When Drixine
No Drip Formula is shaken, the viscosity is reduced. Then, when it is sprayed into the
nasal cavity, it reverts to its more viscous state; thereby, staying where it is sprayed
helping to prevent the nasty tasting drip of the product for your patient.
*Thixotropic: a fluid mixture that becomes more fluid as it is agitated

Works quickly and effectively
Drixine No Drip Formula is indicated for non-drowsy relief of nasal congestion
associated with allergies, colds & flu and sinusitis.6 Nasal congestion relief begins
within minutes and lasts for up to 12 hours.6 With all intranasal imidazoline
decongestants, the risk of rebound congestion increases with excessive or prolonged
use.6,7 To avoid the potential of reactive hyperaemia, continuous use should be
limited to a maximum of 3 days.
